Lost In The Torment

Grief stricken tears Fall from my eyes Tho death it came As no surprise I awaited its arrival For death, I was prepared But, its never easy to accept
Of those we loved and cared The book of life that bound us Has now been read and closed I've stained each page, each memory Our time shared remains enclosed Now it's time to say good bye To kiss away your pain Dont think of it as forever

Just me..and my thoughtsA day spent with my thoughts.. a busy day to be sure We ran.. we played.. we frollicked aimlessly without a worry, without a care We danced.. we sang.. we broke all the rules without the world being aware
Then, caught out.. in a moment of truth a sense of happiness.. enlightenment yet, a longing to cry.. to sob endless tears.. of joy? sorrow? A lone tear falls, as my tongue reaches out lapping it up, tasting it.. remembering .. disguising.. time spent fighting them.. holding them back surely, an internal river by now i possess?

I think that with each new poem i submit here, I will be disabling comments..
I guess for a few reasons, but the main one being, I dont write poetry to have it critiqued (not that there is anything wrong with that).. I write poetry as a form of release, for whatever need that may be at the time of writing.
Putting it up here on DA copyrights it to me, so it is MINE .. yah yah ppl can steal it if the really want to.. but, seriously.. why would ANYONE in their right mind want to steal anothers thoughts?!?!?! Atleast if i put it here, i know it's mine and it wont be lost...
